The Silliest Weight Loss Products

By Carol Aguon

The market place is packed full of loads of weight loss products today. Some of the products really are designed to help people lose weight. Other products and solutions, however, are most often conceived solely for the purpose of making tons of money off of desperate people. Some of those products are so far fetched that we thought we would look at them in this article so that you will know that you shouldn't fall for the promises their marketing make.

Have you previously seen the fat reduction ring? This is a ring of silver that is coiled around several times and is meant to be worn on your index finger. The ring should put a good amount of pressure on the pressure points that people think are supposed to help you lose weight. Science has verified that there are many pressure points on the body that, when pressed honestly do help you to feel better. Seabands, for example, activate the pressure points meant to control motion sickness. The thought that a small ring will be able to help you lose weight (actively is the key here, as decoration it probably works okay) is just dumb.

Have you discovered the neck line slimmer? This is a item that is supposed to allow you to firm up the muscles in your neck so that you won't have any lose or hanging skin. It lets you do this through the utilization of vibration. Any experienced health care provider will show you that if you have excess skin hanging from your chin or off of your neck, that skin has already been stretched out and, even if your neck muscles become strong, they wont suck that skin back up into them. If you might be concerned about the skin on your neck, consult your doctor.

Have you previously seen the Belly Burner Weight Loss Belt? This is a warmed belt that is meant to help you literally melt the pounds away by doing nothing else beyond wearing the belt. From what we can tell the belt is made to heat your core which is designed to make the weight fall through... what? We have yet to actually find that out. It's true that sweating burns calories but there is no way to ensure that those calories will only be burned away from the part of your body covered by the belt. A quick consult with your doctor should verify that this item isnt meant to do anything more than get your money.

Believe it or not there are folks around whose primary goal is to get your money. They know that you feel vulnerable about your weight and that you are eager to lose it and they prey on that vulnerability and desperation. A large amount of people want nothing more than to get rid of weight but don't want to do the work that it takes to get them there. If this process were truly effortless, there would be fewer people getting taken advantage of. It can often be very difficult to lose fat. No accessory, piece of clothing will make it happen for you.
